There's no restriction on the stuff you can make up is there? First you say Muslims try to dress like Plato, now you decide they're trying to dress like Abraham. Man, you are really obsessed with the God of the Bible. You should try to figure out why. See my next post.

Thanks for posting the link to the Dever interview at: pbs.org A related site I highly recommend is at pbs.org which describes the origins of the Hebrew Bible, probably the the most successful pedagogical project the world has seen. Also good is pbs.org which describes the change from the ancient Israelite religions to monotheistic Judaism. An excellent effort by PBS on a fascinating time, place and people.
