That article was meant to be slanted, and/or is just shoddy journalism. The reality is U6 unemployment, in which unemployment is measured much like it was a few decades ago (i.e. the headline number) is still at about 12% unemployment and underemployment, which is pretty high. shadowstats.com And to add insult to injury, compared to twenty years ago, lower real income and fewer benefits. I don't know what the basis is for Shadowstats 23% number in that chart.
