Tampa and Miami don't excite my hockey sensibility. I knew the risks involved when I arranged the trips. I'm a risk taker by nature. Adirondacks are beautiful. They are the most rugged mountains in the USA. Very scenic ride once one gets north of Saratoga. I have hiked many of the trails there and had direct encounters with Black Bears. Scary. The locals in Keene Valley told me they walk around in their tee shirts when the weather warms up to 10 degrees in the Winter. The locals there are mostly nutso. Lots of alcoholics up there. I spent the summer there once. Jumper was from Keene.
