food stamps, medical, housing assistance, etc. My co-workers daughter was living with an illegal Mexican alien for 10 years. Moved to Hawaii from San Antonio. Very smart kid and very much a hustler. They had so many scams going we couldn't add it all up. He offered my friend any ID he wanted for a very reasonable price. Example; California ID packet(SS#, DL, BC) for $500. Once you have those you can get on the welfare roll easily. Because we are born here, we just aren't normally aware of the vast loop holes in the system, but they exist. One of my other good friends is an electrician. He was in love with a Latina from central California. She had two kids. She told him no way she would marry him because he couldn't afford to support her as she was accustomed to on welfare. She was full time at Cal Poly SLO and just beginning her masters. Once done with that she was going for a PHD. She flat out told him she would stay in school as long as the State of California would pay for it. Free rent, free gas, free car, free child care, free health care, free education, free food, free higher education…. such a deal. Here in hawaii the State determined it takes a job earning approx. $48,000/year to motivate someone to get off welfare. Because that's what the bennies pay….and you don't have to show up for work! My half brother lived in a 2b/2b "affordable" State rental in Lahaina and paid $350/month with ocean view. Just to buy that unit retail would be $400k plus. The taxes and HOA fees would be well over $1,000/month. Good for my alcoholic brother and his wife though. He sat on his ass getting food stamps and free medical and used to laugh about it. He'd say, "You and your brother worked your asses off your whole lives and I live as well as you do!"
