"I guess Yocam sees the merger as a way of
repositioning BORl from the $99 cardboard box outfit it used
to be... I just hope he's right..."

He may be right. For the last two years this stock has been a roller coaster, and it is up to the CEO to gain the confidence of the investors and analysts. Del obviously seem to fail in this regard. This stock moved last year from $6 to almost $10 and back again to $6, and now after moving up to $12 it is now back at $9. Although over a period of a year you would have seen theoretically a 50% increase on your investment, if you were in at $6 and were able to endure these extreme swings in the stock price. Hopefully in the coming year we may see a similar appreciation from $9 to $15 - depending of course on earnings and that the stock does not tank far below 9. I guess the merger will have a negative impact on earnings in the short term. In the long term that is left to be seen.

As a shareholder I would have preferred that approach as well...Simply "milk the cow"...cut costs, J-Builder Version 2, etc....

I agree. I intend to vote against the merger. Perhaps we should take an informal poll. Looks like 2-0 against so far (let's not ask how many shares folks have to vote).
