President Obama spoke on Friday about the escalating situation in Ferguson: “This is a country that allows everybody to express their views, allows them to peacefully assemble, to protest actions that they think are unjust,” Obama told ABC News. “But using any event as an excuse for violence is contrary to rule of law and contrary to who we are.” Obama was apparently unaware of the irony of his lecturing on the value of the rule of law on the same day that he signed an executive order granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants without Congressional approval.
