ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, U.S.A., 1997 DEC 11 (NB) -- REPEAT/ By Newsbytes
Staff. Cable TV is being seen increasingly as a possible alternative
means of high bandwidth data and multimedia transmissions,
especially for the many million of corporate telecommuters currently
in the US. Now Northern Cable Holdings Ltd. of Sudbury, Ontario,
Canada, says that, after "extensive hybrid one-way cable modem
trials," it has selected 3Com Corp. [NASDAQ:COMS] cable modems for
high speed Internet access for its customers.
