I never realized the latent racism ran so deep in this country. I imagine it even took some blacks by surprise. I had a coworker who was shocked over what some of the Republican candidates like Newt were saying for the 2010 election.

And it isn't even a close call. He left Carter in the dust a long time ago. He has wrecked the Democrats' chances going forward. It may be 20 years before we see another Democrat in the WH.
