Actually, you are confused about the demographics and the statistical bias called self-selection. Viewers of those shows also tend to be overwhelmingly younger viewers, who of course, lack experience. But you give that no account. They also tend to be males. Do you infer from that that females are idiots because they don't watch the Jon Stewart show? The highly educated to read the WSJ, and those readers tend to be conservative. Yet, Daily Show viewers tend to be liberal. How do you square those statistics? I realize you don't understand statistics and are baffled by the concepts. But you can't just infer that viewers of these shows are the "smartest" people. There is no statistical evidence to support the claim.
