>> They are all very smart people. I have never seen any of the accused of being dumb.

Then well, nitwit, let me be the first.

Jon Stewart is an idiot. After years of being the "god" to the academics, he ACTUALLY BELIEVED THAT WHEN GWB TOOK OFFICE THERE WAS NO NATIONAL DEBT!

That is the statutory definition of an IDIOT.

Humor is the juxtapositioning of reality.

Do you have a problem with reality on its own? How about FACTS? How about TRUTH?

Do you need them interspersed with humor to understand them and juggle real life?

You seem to like to repeat mindless talking points that are widespread across the internet.

Do you get those from the geniuses on MSNBC or late night comedy shows, or do they get them from you?

Humor is the juxtapositioning of reality. That requires the ability to juggle abstract thinking. As Barbara Walters said: "I have traveled the world and never seen a dumb person with a sense of humor.

Speaking of intelligence and prejudice…..

koan uses Barbara Walters as an example of what we should not espouse to.

Point 1:

Four letter words are beyond her intelligence level….

dumb |d?m|adjective1 chiefly offensive (of a person) unable to speak, most typically because of congenital deafness: : he was born deaf, dumb, and blind.• (of animals) unable to speak as a natural state and thus regarded as helpless or deserving pity.• [ predic. ] temporarily unable or unwilling to speak : she stood dumb while he poured out a stream of abuse.• [ attrib. ] resulting in or expressed by speechlessness : they stared in dumb amazement.2 informal stupid : a dumb question. See note at stupid .• (of a computer terminal) able only to transmit data to or receive data from a computer; having no independent processing capability.Often contrasted with intelligent .

Point 2: Barbar Walters has lived in a cacoon of privilege…yet she believes she somehow "knows" everything about every culture and their sense or humor or lack thereof. I'm willing to bet in her travels that many people from many cultures found Bawbwa "funny" and it went right over her head.
