Right. It wasn't spent on infrastructure at all. Out of the 852B -- you know, the "shovel-ready" jobs -- 27.5 Billion was allocated to infrastructure. 116B was used to fund a tax cut that has to be made up at some future date. And the rest was farted away uselessly.

Had that money been spent on infrastructure we would have at least gotten something of value for it.

This is the way you idiots operate. You blow a trillion dollars, then bitch about needing to spend money on infrastructure.

In 2009 ASCE estimated the cost of doing ALL the infrastructure repairs needed in the country at 2.2 Trillion over a 5-10 year horizon. We could have, with that 852B, had close to 40% of the entire money. Which would have gone a hell of a long way and certainly would have taken care of ALL of the most difficult spots.

And, it would have provided REAL economic stimulus in the form jobs instead of wasteful handouts that were totally unneeded.

This is what happens when you put a fucking idiot in charge of government. Money is wasted, blown, used for political payoffs, and you don't get a damned thing of value in exchange.
