Re Gartner Group endorsement for Vantive SFA: over the dead bodies of Tom Siebel and Wendy Close. Or unless Vantive purchases mucho GG reports and research. Not that I'm suggesting any causal linkage between vendor purchases of research and GG recommendations. No sir! That would never happen.

Rumor has it Wendy Close is moving on to other things in the GG. Remains to be seen if the new SFA analyst at GG is as taken with Siebel as our Wendy was.

Didn't see it. I don't do business with soundview, but I could. I'd have to choose between dmg and soundview any guidance?

The other thing i didn't raise yesterday would be PSFT buying vantive as opposed to clarify or scopus -- better technology fit, but I expect psft would have to pay a much larger premium - 25 to 35% vs the 15% or less premium for the remnants.
