Almost every one of them has spoken about being busted for running or driving while black. "But I can say that, because I'm not black," Yes, you can, because you are white, and have never been stopped by cops while running. "Would be a bummer to be hamstrung by my politics" It would be a bigger, and inescapable one, to be hamstrung by your color. Every black pol and almost every black talking head has spoken of personal experiences which you will never share. You're viewing this thru white eyes. Blacks see it differently.
