Very interesting last week at Internet World here in NYC. ASND was very upbeat for a beat up company. People at the booth said they had several very successful meetings with telcos and that, as one guy said, "the squeeze is beginning to ease." Seemed positive that a 56K standard will be reached by end of Jan. 3Com, on the other hand, had a tiny booth manned by just a couple of surly junior sales guys. They said the news about standards meetings was hype and nothing will be settled anytime soon. Just the opposite of the situation I expected.
