Ferguson is 'small potatoes' compared to L.A., Chicago, etc.. I don't care for James Ellroy's recent writing but he captures the corruption of prosecutors and police very well. An old high school friend of mine was Chief of Police of the Beverly Hills Police Department a year before the making of "Beverly Hills Cop" and was an honest cop. In HS he was a very shy, unassuming guy with a great jump shot. All of us were stunned when he became Chief and more so when he died so young. May Lee Tracy rest in peace. articles.latimes.com
