<Ensco and was wondering if anyone felt the dividends are at risk there>

ESV is one of the safer plays in the large high spec deepwater OSX sector IMO -- however the dividends may be at risk as they are for any company in the throes of a major bust... divvies were never traditionally a DGI sort of thing offshore and with the frequent boom/bust cycles, it could be un-nerving to say the least... ESV's (and indeed any of the group new to the divvy religion offshore) future divvies still depend on how long the bust lasts and how well they manage their cash until things pick up. ESV seems to be in good shape to weather the storm if it doesn't last more than 3 years (yikes! That has happened, but not the most probable scenario, IMO). The sector will pick up in a big way again, but there's no guarantee when, so one's investment horizon really determines the best current course.
