There are too many alternatives at that price. Of course oil and gas prices would fall so would the investment value: < it is a foolish investor indeed who doubled down on the future of oil and gas What the hell did they expect to happen to those investments> Don't worry about CO2 emissions. It's a self-limiting problem. More CO2 enables more chlorophyll which removes more CO2. Then Peak People will arrive. More competition with oil will take over. People don't like buying oil as it's expensive, so they are always looking for ways to avoid paying by doing something else. Such as ordering groceries and other things via Cyberspace. Insulating houses. Riding bicycles. Inventing thorium reactors. Driving electric cars. Installing photovoltaics. Mqurice
