A friend of mine is a beta tester for a new Intel software product which allows users to back up their hard drives onto an Intel server. Apparently the new software rocks. Has anybody heard of this? This product could essentially eliminate the need for physical tape drives, or at least provide a faster, cheaper and more reliable alternative. I'm sorry if this has been previously discussed (but I'm not about to wade though 40,000 posts). Any thoughts on what this, and it's implication for IOM?
