I was stunned to see how much energy they are putting into demonizing blacks.

It isn't just blacks. A man by the name of Jeffrey Patrick Rice ran over a protester in Minneapolis. Luckily the teenaged girl was only slightly injured, despite having the tire go over her leg.

I saw that..........I wanted to believe he was acting out of fear but things look more sketchy now that the police consider him to be suspect rather than a victim.

Reading the comments on some of the articles are very eye-opening. Seems like some think that he had a right to mow down protesters if they were blocking the street. I guess this is sort of extending stand your ground laws to vehicles, too. There were all of those people in the street and he feared for his life...

Yes, very disturbing. Apparently, some people have a lot of fear. I go back to my cousin who grew up in a white suburb. A nice guy but who has no tolerance for people of color esp blacks.

If you only know people who look and think like you do, then its very likely you will become xenophobic when encountering people who don't look or talk like you do even if they live in your own country. And we are seeing a lot of that these days.
