That said, it is a clear indication of a fairly substantial punch. And the officer's testimony, which was supported by eyewitnesses, was that he felt if he were hit again he could knocked out. Witnesses testified that when Wilson got out of the car he appeared unsteady on his feet, which suggests the same. And being knocked out after having to defend your weapon is a life threatening position to be in. So, yeah, the altercation was both devastating and life threatening. Even so, the evidence clearly showed that Brown would not have been shot had he not stopped, turned around, and begun to close on officer Wilson -- which is what led to his being shot dead. Wilson is a fucking hero if you ask me.
