Joe,

It is a tragedy but not a financial disaster for the company. Air Methods takes great pride in its safety record. Until Sunday they had over 100,000 missions without any loss of life. The accident occurred in Denver, their home base. Management is appropriately saddened and will do what is responsible, given the situation.

This is not a Value-Jet situation. Reading the reports in the Denver Post (www.denverpost.com), it seems clear to me that the pilot did not see the wires and flew into them. (my deduction only) This sort of thing can happen anytime; pilots are human and make mistakes.

Air Methods supplies the aircraft and the pilot to the hospital. They carry liability insurance and financially, this tragedy does not mean any sort of disaster. Actually the financials may be positive but I do not want to dwell on them.

I am fully confident that we will see more positive news shortly. Air Methods will show record earnings this quarter and will surprise a lot of people next year.

The small amount of panic selling offers a short-lived buying opportunity.

I do not want to detract from the personal sadness that the people in Air Methods feel, but the business will go on and it is extremely unlikely that anyone will find anything wrong with the company and its operations. When you fly emergency aircraft in the kind of conditions that the air ambulances take on, there are risks. And losses.

Respectfully for those who died,

Elliot
