Furthermore, government employees are vastly overpaid even if they DID perform as well, on average, as private sector employees. That is not to disparage all government employees; there are highly intelligent, highly effective government workers. But on average, government does not have the best employees, yet it overpays by 1/3 or more even assuming those employees WERE the same quality or better.
