Rick, I think that until about the end of Q3 '98 the y2k stocks will still prove to be very volatile. I think that we will see lots of opportunities to trade. I plan to take advantage of those opportunities and then look for longer term positions as we head into '99.

btw - I have heard some "rumors" about CSGI that if they are true, I can say that we will be very pleasantly surprised. However, there is no way I am going to even discuss any of them until Jan. 1, 1998. Lets let the loose hand sell the stock. I am looking to pick up a few more shares before the new year.

_________I found a very nice article regarding ConSyGen______________

ConSyGen Supplies Automatic Year 2000 Conversion Tool for the HP 3000
www2.hp.com

some interesting notes

*************
"While analyzing the application code, the toolset identified both date occurrences and date origins in each series of connected references. The origins were referred to MEI for confirmation, a simple online process that allowed MEI to verify the accuracy of original date fields. This process also simultaneously generates a rule to correct all date fields in that reference chain."
*************

*************
"The converted system was tested in two stages. First, MEI selected a limited, representative sample containing most of the conversion rules. This initial testing sample was found to be free of errors. Second, ConSyGen converted and delivered sections of application code in pre-defined work units. These were tested separately to client-specified test plans. All acceptance testing was completed within three weeks."

*************
"According to Bishop, this conversion project validates ConSyGen's automated approach. "Plainly, the manual approach to correcting the year 2000 is not going to be effective in the available time," he said. "Here is a solution that automatically will locate and correct date fields in most software running on most computers, including the HP 3000 and HP 9000. More than any alternative, it works faster, uses fewer resources and virtually eliminates any conversion errors."
