Paul,

I'm not as encouraged as you are about the OMB report. They basically talk about mission critical systems. Not much emphasis on anything else. I also research what Senator Horn has been checking into. Horn's projections are that the Dept of Labor & Energy will be fully Y2K compliant in 2019! Some other departments are equally dismal. Don't know which ones, off the top of my head. But I remember the date ... 2010.

Dept of Defense is VERY concerned about GPS (Global Positioning System). I've also been researching GPS. MAJOR problems here .... far beyond DOD. Lots of commercial usage. Time problems, not just navigation. From what I can gather most GPS receivers will have to be replaced. You might have seen my earlier post. Problems with GPS will occur earlier ... in August 1999.

Even though the OMB report is more releastic, when push comes to shove ... we aren't gonna make it. There will be MAJOR disruption, economic and otherwise.

P.S. Email me when you're planning on going to Denver. I'll be going up either 1/27 or 28.
