"American freedoms and Rights are based squarely and solidly on the expressly stated premise that Rights come from God"

Firstly, that is so much drivel. In an age of faith, the references to a deistic "god" were just sops to cerberus. However, even if you are right in implying that people who lived before the American Constitution had no rights and freedoms--not ever--(and of course you ARE NOT)--that would still not answer my post which was to address our obligation to honor the Separation of church and state. That was (of course) my point. And you did not address it, but wandered into a non sequitur.

You followed that by taking (per usual) a gratuitous and bigoted swipe against the atheism which you so hate. Again, you derail any attempt at civil conversation by immediately expressing your personal animus against other posters of different beliefs or non-beliefs

Getting back to your change of topic from the separation of church and state, (which was clearly the basis of objection and which you clearly have no response to)--and moving to your deflected topic:

Seriously? So you would be comfortable with a MAYOR who said, “If they don’t like an Islamic theme, if they don’t like an Islamist parade – stay at home.”
