Someone had asked where the 40 oz. per ton came from. I think it came from a post on "A New Age in Gold Refining" thread. The thread is very scientific in a lot of the posts but alot of it directly relating to the problems with desert dirts in relation to gold and metal recovery. I'm sure most of you have read it, but to those that haven't it's well worth the time. Lots of recognisable characters mentioned and posting.
As alluded to on one of these threads, remember the doubt and trouble in the Athabasca Tar Sands area a couple of decades ago.

FWIW There is a small company called Wesport Innovation on the ASE that is presently testing a bus on the roads that has done some kind of conversion I believe from deisel to alternative feuls. I'm not sure of the details, a co-worker owns the stock. Cheap at about $1.00 Canadian. Even cheaper for you Americans. But it sounds like another company on the leading edge of technology.
