American freedoms and Rights are based squarely and solidly on the expressly stated premise that Rights come from God "references to a deistic "god" were just sops to cerberus." The desire of the framers of the Constitution to avoid sectarian wrangling and to move toward inclusiveness does not mean that the explicit grounding of the principals of Human equality and universal rights in THE Creator God was some kind of throw away line. It's telling that you cannot have a discussion without deliberately fabricating lies. God is the self existent Creator and Sustainer of the Universe. "You have made it clear over 15 years of drivel on SI that you do not believe there was a god here for the last 200,000 years or so--not until approx. 6000 years ago. Unless you want to deny that belief...then it implies that no true rights or freedoms ( rights flowing necessarily from "god") existed during almost 200,000 years of modern humans." That's a lie and you know it.
