To All,

Nextel mentioned favorably in news released:

UC'NWIN Announces Joint Venture with World Focus Communications
12:13 p.m. Dec 16, 1997 Eastern

BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 1997--UC'NWIN Systems (OTC:UCNS) has entered into a joint venture agreement with World Focus Communications to offer up to 15 new telecommunications products to its rapidly expanding base of customers. The new venture, to be named later this week, will be owned jointly and equally by World Focus Communications and Quickphone, UC'NWIN's wholly owned subsidiary. Quickphone will be responsible for all sales and marketing while World Focus will handle operations and fulfillment.

Gary Robinson, CEO of UCNS stated: "This is a significant alliance for us. We will now begin purchasing and marketing Nextel products and air times, on a pre-paid basis. The demand for these products has been overwhelming.

"Over the next few weeks we expect to announce several strategic alliances that will help to facilitate a rapid roll-out for this program on a national basis," said Robinson.

UC'NWIN is a Florida based corporation that provides pre-paid cellular equipment and services to retailers and marketers of teleommunications products. Through its wholly owned subsidiary Quickphone Inc., UC'NWIN targets a segment of the cellular market which increases by 26,000 new users each day and has a growth rate of 45% annually, according to industry sources. Pre-paid is a marketing approach which cellular had been using but which I had not heard of in connection with Nextel before (representing an additonal market segment). I especially like the "the demand for these products has been overwhelming". Has anyone seen similar statements made for PCS, etc. recently?

Rob

That is my point - they really haven't been too good at getting the word out. I think they had coverage up 93 as far as Manchester. They need to tell the story in the right places. Have you ever seen an add in any of the business mags? Their radio ads hardly impress the market they are aiming at. But even with this poor ad campaign they are doing well and that encourages me. Can you imagine how well they would be doing if they had a decent ad campaign?
