Eugene,
Re -- G/Web UI vs command line...

The issue is not wether one is better than the other, or wether some section of administrators prefer one over the other, these are a matter of taste and various other factors, undoubtedly each has its own advantages (percieved or real).

The issue is wether a well designed UI such as the Web i/f can negate some of the advantages of IOS (both marketing and real).
Furthermore capablity of having a command line i/f and automated script execution, is part of any well designed UI, if there are legacy considerations.

Heres an article which says that CSCO is also providing a web style managment for desktop switches.

Anyway enough on this topic until some other points on this issue crops up,
