There have been 5 sell outs this year, all on Saturday night. I've never seen a sell out during the week unless it was a holiday. Come to think of it, the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving was a sell out. Last Saturday afternoon against the Blues was almost a sell out, maybe a couple hundred off.

Typically, there is a matinee on Martin Luther King day (3rd Monday in January) which sells out.

There was a potential suitor to buy a majority stake in Barclay's who backed off because he found the Isles 25 year lease agreement (at Barclay's) to be risky. There is talk that if the Isles don't work out in Brooklyn, they could head back to Nassau. Plus, there has been explicit talk that after Nassau Colliseum has been renovated, the Isles will come back to Nassau to play 6 games a year. That don't make much sense since the renovated Colliseum will have 3k less seats than before.

If Isles survive in Brooklyn, it will be because of Brooklyn people and NYC Isle fans. And there are Isle fans in Manhattan and Queens. Mind you, not a lot, but some.

Nassau Coliseum is a real dilapidated old disgusting building with excellent sight lines. MSG, since the renovation, is absolutely gorgeous and a great venue, with good location. Comparing MSG to Nassau Coliseum is like comparing a Mercedes Benz to horse manure. -g/ng-
