Where I am, although we've been in "exceptional drought" (most severe) since mid-June, the redwoods got 35-40 inches last year. My town averages 65 inches, so it was pretty dry, especially since we only got about 1.5 inches from 11/1-1/30. This year is about an inch above average, and I've been averaging almost that much every day since Thanksgiving.

So far, the biggest threat was from a dry lightening fire in August.

I thought they would upgrade me last week; nope. This week, for sure.
