Both you and Rat claim your utility supplied power is fossil fuel free. So that means both your solar panels are not substituting for fossil fuels. Therefore, the only reason to install them was solely economic ... so you should've done the calculations.

What was/is the payback? If it was good, you'd be bragging about it, right?

Let's tell the truth. You put on solar as a badge of how green you are. To impress people. That's why Rat put it on his house but not on his commercial property .. no one would know he did the latter.
