You should put PV's on your roof.

It would reduce the heat gain of your home by up to about 30% if you did it correctly which would reduce your air conditioning load and your power bill.

It would shade your roof, a cooler attic would result and most importantly a greatly reduced power bill (or none!).

You would self generate and save even more and help your neighbors at the same time.

Not to mention the environment... Mother Nature would like you.

A win, win.

But you do not understand the advantages.

Sad....
