zman, I think the FED knows it has to move slowly. They also know they can "jawbone" the market very easily, especially a market like we've seen lately. I use caution whenever I read "hawkish" press with respect to interest rates. I do believe they are going higher in 2015....eventually. The recovery in the US is fragile at best but the data are showing substantial improvement. There will be gyrations caused by both the FED wording and by their speeches. I think watching and waiting to see what they actually do is much more important than listening to what people expect them to do....... We shall see.
