Ok. You want to accept the word of people trying to cover their ass because they have committed war crimes. And they know it. But, ok.

Aside from the obvious common sense of it -- inflicting pain, fear, and discomfort is going to make anyone spill their guts at some level.

That is the problem. They will say anything. Which is why it is such a powerful tool for extracting false confessions. So it is great for propaganda.

Fine, though. If it is so effective, why has there been no examples of information gained from torture and where it helped? Catching bin Laden wasn't one of them, we know that. So what was so valuable?

I get it, though. You have no moral compass. The ends justify the means and all that...

You can torture someone to "confess" or give up information....then you can torture them again to see if it's true...is that how it works? Tell us please...or do we have to torture it out of you? I love how the right wing is all about "RIGHTS" not being trampled on....as long as it's not their rights though they don't give two craps.
