Wade, I hope it may help:

"We estimated total direct costs for performing serum bilirubin measurements in the clinical laboratory and the TcB index in the nursery. These included laboratory labor and supplies and phlebotomists' time and materials. For labor costs we used the midrange of salaries (1995) for laboratory technicians, phlebotomists, and nurses who performed TcB measurements in our well infant nurseries."

Pediatrics
Volume 99(4).April 1997.pp 599-601.

"Transcutaneous Bilirubinometry Decreases the Need for Serum Bilirubin
Measurements and Saves Money"

I would still look at the original paper.

Spectrofotometr should be in any hospital, IMHO. No any noninvasive device or combination of 10 of them can replace it yet. (UNFORTUNATELY). Some of spectrofotometres may work for a very long time. I have seen 10-15 years old and they worked OK.

Jane:

I have posted on 3 boards yesterday and never made secrets. I do expect that you read personal profile and some previous messages. After yesterday attention to the David's one, I am absolutely sure that evereone is doing that. It should save time and allows to concentrate on the main subject- The Company.

My point is: I am posting facts. I am doing my best not to allow my positions to influence my opinions. It does not mean I am succesfull in that, but let's discuss FACTS. My position has the same significance for the real market size as David's location for insider selling volume.

Best wishes.

Wade, I am reading your post know and I am confused:

"...They do not include spectrofotometer price."

"Nor did they include the price of the lab equipment used for the standard test."

Can you explain? Thank you.
