Yes, but that was not even the big thing, IMO. The big thing was the counter culture.

Many forget but the straight's were at war with the Hippies in the 60's and vice versa.

So this was the height of the counter culture movement i.e. the straights and not straights (actually liberals and conservatives).

Humphrey was both straight and refused to take an anti war position like Gene and Bobby.(both champions of the Hippies)

So not voting for Humphrey involved three things: Stolen nomination via Daley, counter culture and Viet Nam war.

None of those are present in the Hilary/Warren fight except the divide about who will fight the banks and plutocrats and most people are Ok with fighting the banks and plutocrats I think.

It will have a lot to do with the messaging. And warren is good at that.

We have time to see how we need to sort this out.
