Hi Bobby, That's an interesting page. I had thought when the USSR "collapsed" that they might be "playing possum" but since then it has looked like it was a real collapse. That doesn't rule out the re-emergence from the ashes of another totalitarian state. I have heard of the translation of "wormwood" to be Chernobyl before and it could be still leaking radiation into ground water. Gorby looks like he has embraced the west with his office in California and his book deals etc. making money as fast as he can. I may differ with some of the authors conclusions, I'd have to study it more. The scary thing is what is happening right now in Iraq with them hiding their biological and chemical weapons at these "palaces". The threat has to be serious for the military to start inoculations of its personel. I have no doubt that Israel would go nuclear if Saddam were to unleash any of that on them. In 1973 when Israel was losing the war with the Arabs Nixon refused to re-supply them so they would have to lose. They were ready to go nuclear and were loading the bombs when Nixon gave in (he couldn't risk nuclear war) and sent them what they needed to defend themselves. The US in that war was also feeding the Arabs surveilance info about Israeli troop movements they were collecting via a ship in the Mediteranean. The Israelis knew this and warned the US several times to stop which they did not. The Israelis then attacked the ship to stop it. Their motto is "Never Again" referring to what they have suffered in the past, Masada from the Romans up to Nazi Germany. The nuclear threat is very real. That's what the Iraqi war in '91 was all about. They had to stop Saddam from getting the bomb. They suckered him by causing him to believe the US would do nothing if Iraq invaded Kuwait. After all, part of Kuwait used to be Iraqi territory and Iraq claims a (in their view) legitimate right to it. Have a good one, Bob
