AMD is in a last-ditch effort for survival and I commend them for continuing to keep pace with Intel's price cuts, despite the devastating effect this will have on their stock price. It's good for the consumer and good for the industry. I assumed it was all over for AMD but this latest round of price cuts is proof that they aren't going to roll over and die (NPI) that easily. Despite that, it has always been clear, crystal clear, that they would never make any money and, frankly , AMD shareholders are being used as throw-away pawns by Compaq and others.
