That's one possibility. In any case, it's not a major issue I feel I need to dig into. If it is to you? That's fine.

A web search might provide more information. They may be more active in other counties, within the state. Those eastern Gilmer Cty. properties (perhaps a 1,000 acres+) is probably only small part of what they own in WV.
