Simply Tax wasn't recommended. But it was listed there with the others. The review I read said "If your tax-preparation needs aren't complex, Simply Tax will address them admirably. If you have income from a business or partnership, though, you may want the additional power of a package like TurboTax." The main point, however, isn't the relative strenths or weaknesses of the Simply Tax product, but rather that it has a recognizable distribution channel through which the Echomedia product had/has a chance to flow. Since it does, there doesn't seem to be any reason to be concerned that Echomedia is just making something up.
