It's not a question of playing nice. They're not going to give a damn.

What they give is irrelevant.

What matters is did we get actionable intelligence and the answer is yes.
And we acted on it as we should have.

"Enhanced interrogation techniques" are merely words dreamed up by a REMF. We don't kill those we are interrogating.

Water boarding is no big deal. During training, every American Green Beret is subjected to a lengthy session and all walk away just fine.

I wonder if those opposed are afraid to get wet.

Like it or not, Psychological Operations, PSYOPS, are here to stay. The only way I know to get killed by PSYOPS is to have a leaflet canister fall on your head.

War is about the killing.

What you do and the choices you make are (and say) more about you than your opponents. This is what the people who say "they deserve X" miss.

There was an interesting TED talk about making difficult choices. The speaker did a good job of defining what a difficult decision was. Contrary to common belief, they are not necessarily high stakes choices. In fact the consequences don't even have to be negative; one could agonize over which of two good choices he should make.

What it boiled down to is that difficult choices don't lend themselves to simple arithmetics or become easier if you have more info. So the solution to them is to go with the choice that defines you or is at least more compatible with your values.

>>>Only in times of war, where we have no other choice except to do everything necessary to bring the war to a quick, decisive end, should we resort to torturing POWs.

Oh, I see......NOT
