I do NOT believe such derivative calculations as RSI, MACD,or MAs can play any role in EW analysis, which must be assessed based ONLY on the price movement..

FYI the same applies to my TA..with only one exception that I have occasionally used over the years: the presence of any positive or negative divergences of RSI and price trends..

I would make no distinction between the use of differing time frames…daily/weekly/monthly etc….except for intraday "wiggles" ….which, with the recent introduction and heavy use of High Frequency Trading, have effectively become undiscoverable for the ordinary analyst..
