All life is energy. All religion desires thru its manufactured deities is 'peace. abundance & prosperity' which is the abundance & surplus of energy. The magic safe guards of divine protection of those energy resources & territory is natural progression. Rituals evolve that ensure further control of food/resources for later consumption, all those burnt sacrifices were distributed & eaten you know. But who got the best parts? The land of milk & honey was always the driver for all religions that also promised that continuance in the 'after life. Look at Islam & Judaism, rivers that flow with wine & virgins for those that align themselves with the prescribed laws & order, then the promised land will be yours. Land, Zion, Holy Land...all territory, resources, its all energy. * Oil is so important for lamps, look at all the rituals that involve burning lamps & candles but also the most calories we can consume in our diet =fat & oil. (Yum, French fries, mayonaise & grandma's fried potatoe pancakes!)

You think gregowee would have thought of this aspect? --> Pottery meant that people were able to steam and boil food which allowed the consumption of new types of food such as leafy vegetables, acorns and shellfish. Soft boiled food could be consumed by people who had lost their teeth such as the elderly. Improved cooking and food storage lead to increased population growth through out the world. Such simple thoughtful look at what the invention of pottery actually afforded us in that distant past probably escapes him, even though he's making pottery ever since he gave up the pot!! <smile> These charmed numbskulls have zero imagination, Jesus will prolly kick them out of heaven just for being so dumb. <lol>
