Jim, It is hell to watch. I never was laid off but I saw many many many of my friends hit the street. It is pure pain. Two companies I was with essentially closed up. One offered me a transfer to another city - but I found another job before we had to move. A real small company I worked for was going down the tubes - the president told me he would keep me on the pay roll but I should look for a job - which I found rather quickly. None the less - I never was without a pay check. I cannot imagine the fear. IMO it is pure crap to make the announcement the week before Christmas. Bob

So far, I've just kept my mouth shut Rightfully so, the folks in general been hosed by the oil companies/countries for far too long….. there never was peak oil, and them that claimed that there was, were doing so in the hope that everyone on the opposite side of the fleece, didn't matter and the pain could be distributed in such a way as to make the shared experience a simple matter of que sera sera. The High ground noticed and does not like the game….but that is a matter to be adjudicated latter.
