I remember receiving a notice of settlement of a class action suit - I think it was for some shares I owned in Maxtor (I was part of the "class" though I took no action on the issue whatsoever). After reading through what must have been a dozen pages of legal jargon, as best I could figure the plaintiff's attorneys settled for their fees. I hope Ascend goes up, if only to make all of those lawsuits moot - (though I confess the money that I would make would bring additional satisfaction:-)
