But when Obama got there he told the bankers: "I am here to protect you from the public". And so he did. And today the banks are more dangerous than ever and Jamie Diamond personally phoned congress people to vote to support the last spending bill that starts the destruction of Dodd/Frank put in place to prevent another 08. Obama seemed Ok with that. As well, twice Obama wanted to put summers in the fed and Summers along with Rubin were instrumental in getting rid of Glass Steagall, which one could argue was the primary cause for 08. The senate dems twice told Obama no to placing summers on the fed and threatened to stop him if he tried. Glass Steagall must be re instituted.
