Thank you all for your kind words, but it may be a little premature to say that this year’s contest is over; in biotech, weird stuff can happen in a short time! In any case, my charity is Macula Vision Research Foundation ( mvrf.org ). MVRF is unusual insofar as they apply 100% of received donations to research grants for leading ophthalmologists. (The Foundation’s overhead expenses are funded by the founders from a separate source.) Happy Holidays! Dew
