Except that it has been shown that Cheney was cooking the intelligence presented to Congress. Now there was a time when Saddam was on a path that could threaten the US. But that changed in the wake of the first Gulf War. All of the evidence we accumulated after we invaded point to this. Our own intelligence showed something like that was happening. But the evidence the Sith Lord Cheney was handing Congress did not reflect those changes.

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..."

-- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

Even if the whole world believed that Hussein had tons of WMDs all the US had to do is wait for the UN inspectors to finish their job. Bush refused to let them do that. Why? Because he had a good idea that Iraq no longer had WMDs and he and Cheney were hell bent on going to war for a whole host of reasons.

GW Bush.........worst president in 100 years.
