Not making anything up. Just pointing out that in most states getting a gun legally without a background check is easy. If not in the state you happen to reside in, then a nearby state will let you do that. Considering he shot his girlfriend in Maryland and then drove to NY, I'd say he had mastered the art of interstate travel. Maybe that holds mysteries for you. To assume he must have gotten the gun illegally is ridiculous. Given the ease of doing it legally, why run the risk? Just because that is what you would do doesn't mean everyone is that dumb. Talk about making shit up. I couldn't help but notice that you didn't try to back your claim that most criminals acquire their guns illegally....
